The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills with excellent statistical analysis ability. Candidate will apply statistical data driven analysis and systematic problem solving methodologies in identifying, prioritizing, communicating, and resolving quality issues.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • The SQE responsibilities are to identify and eliminate variation in the supplier production processes by utilizing statistical process controls – SPC, DOE, PFEMA, qualification protocols, gage R&R, and other advanced statistical methods.
  • Responsibilities include investigating, analyzing and correcting problems in quality, production and controls within the OnCore supplier base.
  • Continually work with OnCore suppliers to improve performance, implement process control and quality plans to provide a consistent quality product. Drive continuous improvement by managing defined quality initiatives.
  • Perform supplier audits to ensure conformity to contractual requirements and quality system compliance in accordance with ISO9001, ISO13485 and AS9100 standards.
  • Develop and maintain supplier quality metrics. Compile data and prepare presentations for Supplier Ratings / Scorecards at Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) for assigned suppliers and lead the quality section of this review. Lead, champion and drive implementation of the supplier rating system, quality scores, and processes. Lead supplier development activities geared towards qualification of Dock to Stock (DTS) and kanban programs as well as process improvements at supplier facilities.
  • The SQE is chairperson for Material Review Board (MRB) and ensures timely disposition of non-conforming materials and supplier corrective actions.  Manage the supplied product portion of the non-conforming (NCR) process.
  • The SQE will ensure appropriate root cause analysis and corrective actions are implemented and quality data is trended and reported on a routine basis.
  • Analyze data, formulate a presentation and lead corrective action teams in solving critical and systemic quality issues.
  • Mentor OnCore Receiving Inspectors and manage activities within Receiving Inspection Department.
  • Define product inspection characteristics and sampling plans.
  • Provide training on inspection methodologies to ensure accurate and repeatable measurements.  Create and verify that systems are in place to ensure appropriate control of incoming product receipt and inspection at OnCore.
  • Extensive lean manufacturing experience/Six Sigma certification preferable. Experience in the use of Minitab preferable.
  • Perform other duties as assigned



  • Bachelors degree in Engineering or related field.
  • Certified Six Sigma Black Belt, with demonstrated ability to use advanced quality tools to support process improvement within the business; or proven process improvement skills and the ability to become certified at the Black Belt Level within eighteen months of selection.
  • Minimum 10 years of multi-functional and multi-organizational experience. Engineering, Project, Business, Operational and/or Quality Management experience at a departmental leadership level strongly preferred.
  • ISO 9000 and/or TL 9000(Strongly Preferred) implementation and/or management experience in a leadership role.
