Construction begins for new OnCore manufacturing facility in Longmont
LONGMONT, CO, March 8, 2011 - Construction has begun for the 58,800 square foot OnCore manufacturing and office facility in Longmont. This facility is the result of a partnership between OnCore Manufacturing Services, the City of Longmont, Keith Kanemoto, and The Neenan Company, who is financing, designing and building the facility.

As the developer and design-builder for the OnCore facility, The Neenan Company is eager to work on the local, Front Range project. “We were excited to work with OnCore Manufacturing because we knew our integrated delivery model of design, construction and development services would meet their needs very well,” said Randy Myers, President of The Neenan Company.
Myers, who crafted numerous financing options for the project, also explains, “We'll have OnCore in their new facility in about ten months from the time they signed their initial letter of intent to lease. They have been great to work with and we are pleased to have them as a tenant. We look forward to a long relationship together. It was fun to get back into the development side of our business after a long hiatus.”
The Longmont Area Economic Council worked with OnCore and the City to provide an incentive package to keep the project in Longmont.
John Cody, President/CEO of the Longmont Area Economic Development Council says, “Longmont is excited about this expansion of an existing primary employer. We have seen increased activity from the manufacturing sector, and OnCore’s project represents the first new construction for primary employers in several years.” Mayor Bryan Baum commented, “Longmont considers this project a high priority for its economic development efforts. The combination of new construction, increased job growth and the diversification of our local economy all contribute towards the economic growth we are trying to foster.”

Keith Kanemoto with Prudential Rocky Mountain Realtors of Longmont worked with OnCore to broker a relationship with The Neenan Company.
A “topping-off” celebration will be held in April of 2011 to showcase the new facility before it is finished.
